Jump to Recipe

A recipe to support your detoxification system – next level!

Refer to our previous recipe post, “Liver Tonic (No Blender Method)” for the background information on this healing beverage. This method is different, in that it requires a high-power blender and some silicone moulds or ice trays.

Level up in potency!

We call this version a “Liver Tonic BOMB” because by adding whole lemons and whole ginger root, you are getting all the added benefits of the fibre for your gut and the healing properties of the lemon essential oils in the peel, which are packed with polyphenols and powerful anti-inflammatory compounds.

Meal prep convenience!

We’re going to use these moulds or ice trays to create perfectly portioned, nutrient-packed tonic bombs that you can enjoy quickly without any last-minute fussing. We personally love this method because you can prepare a big batch and freeze them in serving sizes and simply pop an iced cube into a mug of hot water and you are ready to go!

Silicone mould with 18 x 20ml pockets (we use 2 of these for one batch)

Notes

*Best to not use the thick peel lemons that typically grow in gardens as the pith and skin are very bitter.
(We like Woolworth organic lemons or Jackson’s Food Market organic lemons)
